Tarnia Nicol is a Production Designer and Art Director based in Australia.
Tarnia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture before completing a Masters degree in Production Design at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). In the following years Tarnia worked on projects all over Australia; on feature films, short films, music videos and commercials, television and gaming.
Tarnia's passion for history, travel and extending her design craft brought her to Europe in 2009. Her design skills saw her working at the Babelsberg Film Studios on films such as Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, Gore Verbinski's A Cure for Wellness and The Girl in the Spiders Web. Tarnia has worked in the UK, Art Directing on films such as Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Overlord at Leavesden Warner Bros. Film Studios, UK. More recently Tarnia has Art Directed on the Matrix Resurrections in Berlin, Germany, Ron Howard’s Thirteen Lives on the Gold Coast, Australia and The Fall Guy in Sydney, Australia.
